server

Defines a named endpoint in an http backend. Each server requires a url. Server names must be unique within the backend. URLs support expressions evaluated for each request.

Configure either a backend-level url or named server blocks. Combining both forms is rejected. Authentication, queries, mappings, TLS settings, request timeouts and retry settings apply to every server in the group. The backend connections limit applies across all endpoints.

Use server_selection to choose how requests are distributed. The default is fallback in server name order.
