logging

See the logging overview for log levels, targets, formats, counters, troubleshooting, and rotation.

The logging block controls these areas:

• promotion configures timed promotion of recurring application messages.
• application configures targets for server and lifecycle events.
• aaa configures named loggers for authentication, authorization, and accounting data.

Configure only the areas that the deployment requires:

logging {
    # Timed promotion
    promotion {...}

    # Application logging
    application {...}

    # AAA logger(s)
    aaa {...}
}
