Netlogon logon exchange failed

Logged when a netlogon backend sent a logon request to the domain controller at endpoint but did not receive a valid answer, for example because the connection closed before the response arrived or the response could not be decoded. It is also logged when a request that could not be sent is retried on a new connection and the retry fails. The error field shows the cause. The request fails with an error and is not retried, because the domain controller may already have processed the logon and counted a wrong password toward account lockout.

If this happens occasionally, no action is needed. If it repeats, check the network path to the domain controller and its Netlogon service, and look for Netlogon connection setup failures.
