Experimental features
An experimental feature is available to use, but its behavior or interface may change in a later Radiator release. The label can apply to RadConf syntax, Radiator UI, or a public API endpoint. It names the part that may change; it does not change the stability of unrelated features.
The label itself does not enable a feature. A configuration-based feature runs
when the effective configuration enables it. Radiator UI configuration checks
and configuration tests that compile the configuration identify experimental
RadConf that they find; a syntax-only test does not. Radiator logs it when loading the
configuration unless
RADIATOR_PARSER_WARNINGS
is 0. Radiator UI marks experimental views and controls where they
appear. The public API documentation states the stability of its endpoints.
Check the release notes for changes to an experimental feature before upgrading. When a feature becomes official, its experimental markers are removed. A public API endpoint that becomes official is marked stable in the API documentation.
